SAXON is the epitome of a heavy metal institution: At the beginning of 2022, the band released their 23rd (!) album with the very appropriate title "Carpe Diem" - something the hard-working band members have been doing ever since the band emerged in 1977. The band may be a whopping 45 years old, but the rock'n'roll spirit is alive and well in both its music and live performances. Biff Byford and his band mates have since their beginning tirelessly created solid and traditional metal with lots of personality - and boast a repertoire filled with so many great classics that it would almost take you a whole week of concerts to get through them all!
