Together with guitarist George Lynch, Don Dokken started the band DOKKEN all the way back in 1979, and the two musicians remained the core of the group through its heyday in the ‘80s where it became famous for its efficient combination of melodic hard rock and heavy metal that left a considerable impression on the history of rock. Their third album, ’Under Lock and Key’ from 1985, gave them their big breakthrough with memorable hits like ‘In My Dreams’ and ‘It’s Not Love’ and established the band as one of the leading acts in the glam metal genre.
